The California Faculty Collaborative is a faculty-driven community of practice committed to finding ways to create equity-minded curricular, pedagogical, and assessment practices that are relevant, intentional, authentic, coherent, and transparent, while still maintaining space for diverse and innovative ways of teaching and learning in a California context and beyond.
Having been enriched by pursuing our disciplines, we know how passionate educators in California's colleges and universities are and how committed they are to transmitting that passion for learning and the discipline to students.
California faculty in higher education know that our institutions are changing and we having to grapple with teaching more students from varied backgrounds with shrinking resources. We believe we are better together than separated in our silos and segments.
The California Faculty Collaborative believes that creating spaces (online and face-to-face) for equity-minded professional learning and learning-centered collaboration (CCC and CSU) will inspire faculty to improve (inter)disciplinary teaching practices, thereby closing achievement gaps and inequities on our campuses and in our state.
